Galvanization process coats the barbed wire with a zinc layer. Zinc coatings prevent corrosion of the protected metal by forming a physical barrier and by acting as a sacrificial anode if this barrier is damaged.

PVC/PE coating barbed wire comes in a variety of colors, such as green, blue, yellow, orange, gray, etc.  PVC/PE coatings provide better corrosion protection and prevent the protective layers from wear and tear.
